Financial Empowerment should be Accessible to ALL!

Perhaps you've built a biz out of passion, on a mission to deliver your message and get to work on your goals.

You ask your biz besties "how do I start my biz?", "what do I need to do to keep HMRC happy?"

You maybe set up as a sole trader (cause that's what your bestie did) or maybe they told you a Ltd company would be good for you.

But you actually have no idea what the difference is.

So you just hope it's the right set up.

You then reach out to an accountant for guidance - "I'm a sole trader, can you help me with my tax return"

What you're actually asking is "what the hell does it mean for me? what do I actually need to do?"

You sit across from the accountant and feel like you were expected to know, so you nod along and pretend you understand. Leaving more confused than before.

The truth is, it's not YOUR fault. You just weren't given the space to ask for guidance.

For years I watched capable, ambitious business owners be left feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure of their own numbers, when they've been in meetings with their accountant.

Not because they weren’t smart, but because no one took the time to check in with their level of understanding.

Wanderfully Balanced wasn’t built from a textbook. It was built from rock bottom.

Just a few years ago, I was unemployed, battling suicidal thoughts and navigating the trauma of taking my childhood abuser to court. I had no income and was living off my grandparents’ pension for six months before finding the courage to apply for Universal Credit.

I was surviving on £324 a month!

Money wasn’t strategy back then. It was survival. I know what it feels like to avoid your banking app. I know the shame of not understanding your numbers. I know the fear of not knowing how you’re going to make things work.

Then, I watched my grandma suffer a life changing stroke, something I believe was heavily linked to prolonged financial stress. Seeing the physical impact of money anxiety changed me forever. It showed me that financial pressure isn’t just about spreadsheets. It affects health, relationships and entire families.

But here’s the turning point. I realised I didn’t want to just rebuild my life. I wanted to rebuild my relationship with money. And I wanted to help other women do the same.

In 2016, I qualified as a bookkeeper. What started as a practical step towards stability became something much bigger. I saw how many brilliant business owners felt intimidated, confused or embarrassed around finance. I saw how traditional accountancy often made people feel small.

So I built something different. Wanderfully Balanced is a modern bookkeeping and financial empowerment practice designed to remove jargon and judgement from money. We combine structure with compassion, strategy with simplicity, and numbers with real life.

Today, I help women-led service businesses understand their numbers, master their money and make confident decisions. I’ve gone from surviving on £324 a month to running a thriving business with a clear mission: financial clarity should feel empowering, not overwhelming.

My story isn’t just about resilience. it’s about making sure no woman ever feels alone or ashamed about her finances again!

We don’t just crunch numbers;
